A 40-year-old Korean man engaged in Bitcoin trading was rescued in Barangay Mayasang, having reportedly been kidnapped by the buyer of his sports car in Makati City a few days earlier. The victim was confirmed to be Taehwa Kim.

Investigations revealed that the victim met JC, a potential buyer for his luxury sports car, on January 15, Wednesday, at his apartment in Makati.

They test drove the car and parked it at a spa in Makati to meet with the buyer's lawyer.

However, three men arrived and forced the victim into another car. His hands were tied, his eyes were blindfolded, and his personal belongings were taken.

The victim heard he would be taken to Antipolo City, and three days later, he was dropped off on Diokno Highway here.

The victim was found by officials of Barangay Mayasang, walking on the road, led by Chairman Pedro Balani. He was handed over to the relevant authorities.
