On the evening of January 16, 2025 (Thursday), a helicopter crashed in the city of Caieiras in the Greater São Paulo area, Brazil, resulting in the deaths of two of the four people on board, with two surviving.
The victims were entrepreneur André Feldman from Americana city and his wife Juliana Alves Feldman.
Their 12-year-old daughter Bethina Feldman survived the accident and celebrated her 12th birthday the day after the incident (January 17).
The pilot, Edenilson de Oliveira Costa, also survived the accident.
The Feldman couple also have nine-year-old twin sons.
André Feldman was the CEO of BIG Brazil International Games, which holds the Brazilian operating license for the American brand Caesars Sportsbook.
Juliana Alves Feldman graduated from the Armando Alvares Penteado Foundation (FAAP) and is an economist and entrepreneur.
The accident helicopter belonged to C & F Administração de Aeronaves LTDA, of which André Feldman was a partner.
According to records from the Brazilian National Civil Aviation Agency (Anac), the helicopter was not authorized for commercial passenger transport but was available for private use.
The mayor of Americana, Chico Sardelli, mourned the death of the Feldman couple, stating that they made significant contributions to the city.
After the accident, rescue workers quickly arrived at the scene and successfully rescued the survivors.
Currently, relevant departments are investigating the cause of the accident.
