O Athletic announced the signing of a contract with Faz1bet as the new main sponsor of the club for 2025, with the possibility of renewal. The values were not disclosed by the club. The shirt with the new sponsor was already used in the debut of the Campeonato Mineiro against Pouso Alegre.
The betting house will occupy the most prestigious space on the Athletic's uniform. It is the second deal of the company with a football club, which is part of the new strategy of the brand in the national sport. The first club was Asa, from Arapiraca, in Alagoas.
In addition to the Campeonato Mineiro, Athletic will also compete in the Copa do Brasil and the Serie B of the Campeonato Brasileiro.
Fifa lifted the transfer ban imposed on Athletic Club this Friday, which prevented the registration of players. The revocation of the punishment occurred after the confirmation of the payment made by the Minas Gerais team of the debt with Moreirense, from Portugal, for the acquisition of the rights of the midfielder Walisson.
Faz1bet was authorized by the Secretariat of Prizes and Bets (SPA) of the Ministry of Finance to operate sports betting and online games in the virtual mode.
