The Ministry of Tourism and Sports of Thailand announced that from May 1, 2025, all foreign tourists entering Thailand must fill out a new online TM6 entry form.
This measure replaces the previous paper form, aiming to improve the efficiency of entry procedures and enhance the tracking and management of tourists to increase security.
The TM6 immigration form will be suspended on April 15, 2024. After the suspension period ends on April 30, the digital version of the TM6 form will officially be used, replacing the traditional paper form.
The government stated that the promotion of the online TM6 form is a priority, and plans to gradually implement other types of entry inspection measures to avoid confusing tourists.
The online TM6 form is applicable to all foreign travelers entering Thailand
This online form is applicable to all foreigners entering Thailand by air, land, and sea, and it is free of charge. Through this new system, the Thai government hopes to more effectively track the activities of tourists during their stay in Thailand, thereby enhancing the country's security management.
The Ministry of Health also stated that it will prioritize the digital TM6 and hopes that the system will operate smoothly. Nevertheless, it may take several months or even a year to ensure the system's stability. The government expects that this measure will simplify the entry process and improve efficiency.
