A 7Games, an online betting platform operated by OIG Gaming Brazil, has received authorization from the Ministry of Finance to operate legally in Brazil. The company made the grant payment of R$ 30 million on November 25, 2024, as required by the regulation that came into effect on January 1, 2025.
In accordance with the new guidelines established by the Secretariat of Prizes and Betting (SPA) of the Ministry of Finance, all online betting operators must use the ".bet.br" domain on their websites. This measure aims to ensure greater security and transparency in the online betting market in the country.
OIG Gaming Brazil, responsible for 7Games, has already completed the migration process to the new domain, aligning with legal requirements and reinforcing its commitment to regulatory compliance. Now, even if a user accesses the old domain (7games.bet), they will be redirected to 7games.bet.br.
The company emphasizes that this transition will not affect the user experience, who will continue to have access to the usual services of the platform. The social media profiles of the betting site also already inform the new electronic address of the company.
With the regulation, the Brazilian government seeks to combat illegal activities and ensure that only audited and authorized companies operate in the market.
The expectation is that the regulated online betting sector will move R$ 20 billion in taxes and fees in 2025, in addition to generating approximately 60,000 direct and indirect jobs.
7Games reaffirms its commitment to transparency and security, ensuring that all necessary measures are being taken to fully comply with the new regulations and provide users with a reliable and quality platform.
