According to a public opinion survey by the National Development and Management Institute, the vast majority of people oppose the government's proposed casino entertainment complex plan and the legalization of online gambling.
When asked about the development of an entertainment center with casinos, 59.19% of respondents opposed the construction of entertainment centers and casinos, 28.93% supported both the entertainment center and casinos, 8.63% supported the construction of entertainment centers but not casinos, 1.68% had no opinion, and 1.60% supported only the construction of casinos.
When asked whether they agree with the government's push for the legalization of online gambling, 58.32% strongly disagreed, 19.92% strongly agreed, 11.45% somewhat agreed, and 10.31% somewhat disagreed.
Regarding whether to hold a referendum on the construction of a casino entertainment complex and the legalization of online gambling, respondents' answers varied:
51.07% disagreed with holding a referendum on the casino entertainment complex and online gambling legalization
37.86% agreed to hold a national referendum on both proposals
5.11% agreed to hold a national referendum only on the casino entertainment complex project
3.89% agreed to hold a referendum only on the legalization of online gambling

The Nida public opinion survey was conducted by telephone from January 20 to 21, interviewing 1,310 people nationwide aged 18 and over, with varying levels of education, income, and occupation.
