The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) of the Philippines stated that it will continue to assist the unemployed workers of former internet gambling license holders (IGL) through job fairs and livelihood projects.
Labor Secretary Lagusma emphasized that they are closely working with the Public Employment Service Office to regularly organize recruitment fairs across various industries.
The 2025 Career Fair concluded, attracting over 18,000 job seekers. The fair offered more than 8,000 job vacancies and featured one-stop government services, resume guidance, and career counseling, with over 150 companies participating in the recruitment.
President Marcos attended the job exhibition held in Pasay City on Wednesday, highlighting the government's commitment to providing quality employment opportunities for the public.
He stated that although the unemployment rate is decreasing, the government will continue to strive to ensure that jobs offer advancement opportunities and support entrepreneurs in expanding their business scale.
Manila hosted job fairs at three locations simultaneously: the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex in Malate, Escoda Street in Paco District, and Arroceros Forest Park in Ermita District. The events also included technical training displays and employment counseling services, helping thousands of citizens achieve on-site employment.
