The Nevada Gaming Commission has approved Kambi's gaming license application, enabling the company to provide sports betting solutions to operators throughout the state.
This approval includes a manufacturer and distributor license as well as an information service license, which was unanimously recommended by the Nevada Gaming Control Board earlier this month.
Due to Nevada's high regulatory barriers that limit B2B competition, Kambi's entry into this market offers growth opportunities for its long-term expansion strategy.
Kambi CEO Werner Becher stated: "Obtaining a license in Nevada is a significant milestone for Kambi and a testament to our market-leading technology, regulatory expertise, and corporate integrity.
"Nevada is recognized as the gold standard in gaming and gambling regulation, adhering to standards that few companies can meet, thus this is a recognition of Kambi's relentless pursuit of excellence. We thank the committee and the NGCB for their thorough review and approval of our application."
Good news: This decision allows Kambi to expand its business in the United States, where the company has been active since 2018. Following the repeal of the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act (PASPA), the company previously facilitated the first legal online sports betting outside Nevada.
Kambi's expansion into Nevada follows recent organizational changes, including the appointment of Mattias Frithiof as Senior Vice President of Investor Relations and Sustainability.
Frithiof, with over 15 years of experience in investor relations and finance, will oversee financial performance reporting and corporate responsibility initiatives.
As part of its broader workforce strategy, the supplier has also established a new Chief Talent Officer position, recently held by Brian Dean.
