A furniture store owner was shot at close range by a riding gunman while driving, causing the vehicle to lose control and crash into a utility pole, resulting in the victim's immediate death. The police are currently making every effort to track down the gunman's identity and motive.
According to the police report, the victim was 52-year-old Jerry Flaminiano, who lived in Kapitan Pepe Subdivision, Cabanatuan City, and ran a furniture business.
At the time of the incident, Flaminiano was driving a Ford Everest (license plate CBX-6283) through the Brgy. Langla section when he was suddenly ambushed by two motorcycle-riding gunmen. The gunmen followed closely and fired several shots at close range at the SUV, shattering the front windshield.
Preliminary police investigations show that the victim was shot multiple times and died on the spot due to excessive blood loss. After the shooting, the vehicle lost control, veered to the right side of the road, and eventually crashed into a utility pole, severely damaging the vehicle. The gunmen quickly fled the scene and are still at large.
Based on the analysis of the casings found at the scene, the gunmen used high-caliber handguns, and the police suspect that the case may involve professional hitmen, possibly related to business disputes or other conflicts of interest. The police have retrieved nearby surveillance footage and launched a comprehensive manhunt to quickly identify the suspects.
