United States.- The Florida Gaming Control Commission revealed that slot machine revenues reached USD 58.1 million in December. This represents a monthly increase of 2.98 percent and a year-on-year decrease of 0.2 percent. The tax revenues from the industry amounted to USD 20.3 million.
Among the eight non-tribal casinos, Magic City Casino led the market with net slot revenues of USD 11.1 million, a 2.04 percent increase month-over-month, followed by Pompano Park, with revenues of USD 11 million, an 8.7 percent increase. Hialeah Park Casino brought in USD 8 million, Calder Race Course USD 7.7 million, and Casino Miami USD 7.3 million. Gulfstream Park generated USD 4.9 million, Park Casino USD 4.2 million, and Big Easy Casino USD 3.6 million.

Most casinos recorded an increase in revenues compared to November, but only three experienced a year-on-year increase. Revenues at Big Easy Casino rose by 17.09 percent, at Magic City Casino by 5.95 percent, and at Dania Entertainment by 7.29 percent.
In December, the Miccosukee Casino & Resort in Miami (Florida) opened a new VIP room and high-limit slots. The VIP room is reserved for the highest-level members of the company's loyalty program, M Sphere Rewards.
