The Spanish venue will be the scene of 239 horse races in its three seasons of the year.
Spain.- The Hipódromo de la Zarzuela announced its sports calendar for 2025, featuring 239 horse races across its three seasons. There will be a total of 47 days, including 39 from the SELAE circuit and 8 own days.
The spring season will start on March 2 and will run until the end of June. There will be 18 racing days, with morning schedules on Sundays. The Grand Prix events will take place on Saturday afternoons, on June 14, 21, and 28. The total allocation for the spring program will be EUR1,853,000.
The summer season will start on June 26 and will feature 13 racing days. It will include double sessions on Thursdays and Saturdays in July and August (the last one being on Saturday 9). All Saturday events will be own days, and Thursday events will be from the SELAE circuit. The total prize allocation for the summer program will be EUR400,350.
The autumn season will have 14 days starting on September 3, followed by Thursday 11, both in mixed semi-nocturnal sessions. It will continue from September 14 in its usual Sunday schedule and will end on November 30. The total prize allocation for the autumn program will be EUR1,354,650.
The year 2025 will end with two winter days of Family Day on December 23 and 28. Both will be held outside the SELAE circuit and with the number of races to be determined.
From the Hipódromo de la Zarzuela, it was reported that there will be 32 exclusive races for two-year-old colts and fillies with a total allocation of EUR500,400. There will also be 63 exclusive races for three-year-olds, with a total allocation of EUR1,009,800.
The Gran Premio de Madrid continues to be the most important race of the calendar with its Listed category and a prize that remains at EUR50,000. Meanwhile, the Memorial Duque de Toledo will distribute EUR40,000 to the winner, and the Derby- Villapadierna and the Hispanidad, EUR35,000 to the first place.
