The virtual seminar will be organized by Cibelae and digitalRG on February 12th.
The Ibero-American Corporation of State Lotteries and Betting (Cibelae) in collaboration with digitalRG, announced that next Wednesday February 12, they will jointly hold the webinar "Real Stories and Strategies for Self-Exclusion and Blocking".
The virtual event aims to provide tools to strengthen responsible gaming and player protection. According to Cibelae, one of the most critical tools for player safety is the self-exclusion and game blocking software, which helps individuals facing gambling-related problems regain control.
In this webinar, experts will provide valuable insights on how operators and regulators are strengthening player protection measures, and will share real examples of functioning self-exclusion programs and how technology is playing a crucial role in ensuring that players do not move to unregulated gaming markets.
The seminar will also address crucial topics such as the importance of self-exclusion in responsible gaming programs and how game blocking software, like Gamban, is helping to prevent problem gambling. Additionally, the vital role that lotteries and regulators play in creating safe gaming environments and how effective communication can support players during their self-exclusion process will be discussed.

The authorities of the State Lottery of Paraná (Lottopar) and Cibelae met in Foz do Iguaçu to conduct technical visits and prepare the ground for the largest responsible gaming event in Latin America, which will take place in June 2025. The city, famous for hosting the Iguazu Falls, will be the venue for the meeting that will bring together representatives from lottery institutions and companies from the sector from around the world.
During the visit, the directors evaluated the local infrastructure, including event centers, transportation logistics, and lodging, to ensure the event is successful. For Rogério Nogueira, financial director of Lottopar, the event will be an opportunity not only to promote responsible gaming practices but also to boost the economy and tourism of the region. "It will be an event that will place Paraná at the center of discussions on safe and sustainable practices in the lottery sector, while also bringing benefits to local tourism," highlighted Nogueira.
