A 59-year-old Chinese businessman was tragically killed in a gun robbery in Candelaria, Quezon Province, after being attacked by two armed men at his home.
Police confirmed the victim was Willy Sy. Investigations revealed that two armed men broke into his residence and took his daughter hostage. Mr. Sy attempted to fight back and seize a gun from one of the assailants, but the other robber shot him in the chest, causing him to fall.
The criminals quickly fled the scene after stealing an undisclosed amount of cash. Mr. Sy was urgently taken to the hospital but unfortunately succumbed to his severe injuries.
The police have launched a manhunt and are conducting a thorough investigation to bring the suspects to justice as soon as possible.
