The employees had been maintaining the measure in front of the hotel doors since November 15th last year.

United States.- After more than 60 days of hotel workers' strike in Las Vegas, the Culinary Workers Union announced a five-year agreement for about 700 employees of Virgin Hotels Las Vegas. The workers had started the measure on November 15th.

The union posted on the social network X a joint statement where they report that Virgin Hotels Las Vegas and the Culinary Workers Union Local 226 and the Bartenders Union Local 165 have reached an agreement on the terms they are willing to resolve their new Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Furthermore, they indicated that the parties "are pleased to be moving forward with their contractual negotiations while each looks forward to fostering a positive and collaborative working relationship for the benefit of all team members on the property."

Bethany Khan, a union spokesperson, reported that an agreement was reached in recent days and the union approved it unanimously on January 22nd.

During the strike, the union's secretary-treasurer and chief negotiator Ted Pappageorge said that Virgin Hotels workers would not settle for a "second-class contract."

Since November, union members had been on strike, with pickets in front of the hotel doors, and along a common route between the main tourist corridor and the city's international airport. The previous union agreement with Virgin Hotels expired in June 2023.

His presentation, "From Strategy to Execution: Building a Winning Presence in Latin America," offered a masterclass on how to establish and maintain a thriving online business in the region.

Press release.- Peru is rapidly emerging as one of the most exciting opportunities for online gaming businesses in Latin America. At the ICE World Gaming Forum, Rossi McKee, co-founder of Telematic Interactive and CT Interactive, shared a powerful vision for capturing the potential of this market. Her presentation, "From Strategy to Execution: Building a Winning Presence in Latin America," offered a masterclass on how to establish and maintain a thriving online business in this dynamic region.

The central message from McKee was the importance of understanding the regulatory landscape of Peru. In recent years, the country has developed a robust framework that has already attracted more than 60 operators. This regulatory clarity, she explained, provides a solid foundation for businesses to grow, but also demands a deep commitment to compliance and adaptability. "The rules are clear, but success lies in how you play the game," McKee emphasized, underlining that compliance is not just a legal requirement, but a critical component for building trust with both players and partners.

A significant shift in consumer behavior is also driving Peru's turn towards online gaming. Before the pandemic, physical gaming establishments dominated the market due to widespread distrust in online transactions. However, in just two years, the perception of digital platforms has changed. Online betting in Peru grew by 128 percent between 2020 and 2022, driven by growing confidence in secure payment systems and increasing adoption of technology. "Trust is the currency of the Peruvian market," McKee noted. "To succeed, operators must offer an experience that is not only attractive but also reliable and culturally aligned with local expectations."

Technology, McKee explained, is the cornerstone of this transformation. For any business aspiring to succeed in Peru, it is essential to prioritize a mobile-first strategy. These have become the gateway to digital experiences, making it necessary to have intuitive and seamless platforms. Secure payment solutions, robust user interfaces, and advanced analytics are equally crucial. These tools enhance the player's journey and provide businesses with useful insights to refine their strategies. "A 'mobile-first' approach is no longer an option; it's necessary," she said. "When players can access your platform anywhere and at any time, you've already won half the battle."

McKee also highlighted the importance of local partnerships for building a successful online business in Peru. Collaborating with local companies can provide unique insights into market preferences, regulatory nuances, and effective marketing strategies. These partnerships act as a bridge, ensuring that global operators can align their offerings with the cultural and legal landscape. "Think of partnerships as your backstage pass in Peru," McKee commented, adding: "They open doors to understanding the market in ways that no amount of research can replicate."

Throughout her presentation, McKee vividly illustrated what it takes to thrive in Peru's online gaming market. Success, she explained, depends on a combination of regulatory awareness, cultural sensitivity, technological innovation, and strategic collaboration. The rewards are immense for businesses willing to invest in these areas.
