On February 11, according to multiple Thai media reports, officials from the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) of Thailand will visit the Office of the Attorney General on Ratchadaphisek Road in Bangkok before 2 PM to meet with prosecutors handling human trafficking cases. The purpose of the visit is to submit evidence of involvement in human trafficking by leaders of the Border Guard Force (BGF) or influential figures in the Myawaddy area, and to discuss the issuance of arrest warrants.

Since this case involves crimes committed abroad, the prosecutor will oversee the investigation. DSI personnel are meeting with the Deputy Attorney General because the aforementioned forces are suspected of trafficking Indian victims to the Myawaddy area for involvement in telecommunications fraud. After being rescued by Thai authorities, it is necessary to consider prosecuting those involved in the operation.

The DSI further revealed that the victims of this human trafficking operation are 7 Indians, and Thailand served as a transit point, similar to the previous case involving Chinese celebrity "Xingxing". Currently, it is confirmed that about 2 Thais are also involved. The main individuals proposed for arrest warrants include Colonel Saw Chit Thu (leader of the Myanmar Karen Border Guard Force BGF), Lieutenant Colonel Mote Thone, Major Tin Win, and the owner of the Myawaddy casino.

When the Minister of Justice of Thailand, Tawee, was interviewed by the media and asked whether the cooperation of the ASEAN community would be utilized to extradite Colonel Saw Chit Thu and related individuals, he indicated that it was considered a viable channel. When asked how they would bring back the aforementioned individuals since the Myanmar government cannot control the ethnic minority areas, Tawee stated that coordination with ASEAN and China would be arranged.

In response to a question about the possibility of seeing a joint major operation to arrest the aforementioned individuals, Tawee simply stated: The Thai government is serious.
