Mexican authorities are making progress in the confiscation of illegal gambling elements. This time, 29 irregular slot machines were seized in Mazatlán.
Mexico.- Last week, the authorities of the State of Sinaloa stated that since the operations to dismantle illegal gambling networks began, more than a thousand illegal slot machines have been seized through various security authority actions.
The federal forces continue to develop the "Operation Saber" throughout the state and now it was the turn of the city of Mazatlán, where the location and seizure of objects related to these crimes have been achieved.
In a statement, the Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico announced the results of the most relevant actions carried out in the last hours in which it is established that in the Santa Fe neighborhood of Mazatlán, elements of the Mexican Navy secured 29 slot machines, which were located in the public way.
In the recount of the actions implemented in Sinaloa, it was also announced that the secured material was placed under the custody of the competent authorities to carry out the corresponding investigations and execute criminal actions against whoever is responsible. Likewise, the official statement does not report any people who have been detained in the framework of these operations.
According to statements from the government, the action to dismantle these illegal networks has four axes: attention to the causes, consolidation of the National Guard, strengthening of intelligence and investigation, and coordination with the federal entities.
Last January 30 in the city of Culiacán, federal authorities led by the Attorney General's Office, and with the presence of the governor Rubén Rocha Moya, destroyed 796 slot machines that have been seized within the "Operation Saber" in different cities of Sinaloa.

The process of raiding and seizing these illegal elements is part of the security reinforcement program in the state that the local government is carrying forward. In this sense, the denunciation of illegal gambling venues is an important part of the project and the authorities urge the population to report any irregularities.
