Spend a few minutes with him, and you’ll quickly learn Chris Albrecht is a numbers guy.
He’s got a bachelor’s degree in finance from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a master’s degree in business administration from UCLA.
He was a poker enthusiast early on. But it wasn’t until a company organized a campus “casino night” during which it pushed opportunities in that industry that he became interested in a career path he’d follow the next nearly 20 years.
“One thing led to another and the next thing you know, I’m in the (Harrah’s, now Caesars Entertainment) management training program in Lake Tahoe, Nevada learning how to work in the slot operations of the business which, as a poker player, I kind of walked past the slot machines before and now it’s figuring out how they all worked and how to take care of our guests at the slot machines,” he told me.
