The Chamber of Official Lottery Agents and Related of Buenos Aires and the Union of Gambling Workers signed the collective bargaining agreement.
Argentina.- The general secretary of the Union of Gambling Workers (Aleara), Andrés Horacio Rodríguez and Hugo Héctor Mariani and Claudio Horacio Marino, from the Chamber of Official Lottery Agents and Related of Buenos Aires (CAOLAB), signed the agreement that resolved the third installment of the salary guideline for the year 2024, which concludes next April. The agreement not only established the increases demanded by the workers but also set new benefits and agreed on the commitment to start the next salary negotiations in April, when the current agreement ends.
One of the most notable points of the agreement is the salary increase that will be implemented in February, March, and April of 2025. During that period, workers of all categories covered under the Collective Labor Agreement (CCT) 664/13 will receive a 12.7 percent increase on the basic salaries of May 2024. This adjustment will be considered non-remunerative during those three months but will be incorporated into the basic salary of each category in the months of June, July, and August of 2025, according to each agreed increase.
In addition, the non-remunerative sums agreed upon will be taken into account for the calculation of additional benefits of the CCT, such as Attendance, Cash Handling Errors, Seniority, National Holidays, the Day of the Gambling Worker, the Annual Complementary Salary (SAC), Vacations, and Final Settlement.
The agreement also includes an employer contribution that will come into effect during the same period of the non-remunerative increases, from February to April of 2025. Employers will have to pay AR$11,810 for each worker, a sum that will be charged in the ALEARA Payments application.
Furthermore, an increase in the premiums of collective insurances was established. Starting in February 2025, the value of the premiums for the Collective Life Insurance and the Collective Funeral Insurance, both paid by the employer, will be AR$3,225.
The parties signed the agreement committing to start the salary guideline negotiation for the year 2025 in April of this year, with the calculation base for that negotiation considering the non-remunerative sums that have not yet been incorporated into the basic salaries.
