Shreveport/Bossier City area casinos have seen a drop in revenue over the past few years. But with a new casino opening this week, there could be some positive impacts for the gaming market.
The Louisiana Gaming Control Board reports that Lake Charles, with right under $60 million, leads the state in casino revenue for December. It has three riverboat casinos, while the Shreveport/Bossier City market has six.
Even with twice the number of casinos, the Shreveport/Bossier City market saw revenue of only $45 million in December.
