According to the company, the approval by the Nevada Gaming Commission paves the way for Kambi to offer its premium sports betting solutions in Las Vegas and throughout the State of Nevada.
Press release.- Kambi Group has received approval for its gaming license applications in Nevada, marking a significant step towards its launch in one of the world's most iconic betting markets. The Nevada Gaming Commission approved Kambi's application for manufacturer and distributor licenses and an information service license, following the unanimous recommendation of the Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB) earlier this month.
The licenses will allow Kambi to offer for the first time its industry-leading sports betting technology and services to unrestricted gaming establishments in Las Vegas and across the state of Nevada. With limited B2B competition in the state due to high regulatory requirements, Nevada presents Kambi future online growth opportunities with its strategy to expand its presence across the American continent.
Kambi has been at the forefront of the regulated sports betting industry in the United States since 2018, processing the first legal online bet outside of Nevada following the repeal of PASPA. This latest achievement underscores the company's commitment to providing world-class sports betting solutions while adhering to the highest standards of regulatory compliance and corporate integrity.
According to data collected by the entity, alerts last year increased by 17 percent compared to 2023.
The International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA) has published its 2024 sports betting integrity report. The report highlights that the total number of suspicious betting alerts reported in 2024 was 219, an increase of 17 percent compared to the revised figure of 187 alerts from 2023. However, the 2024 figure is still 11 percent below the annual average of 245 alerts between 2020 and 2023.
Suspicious betting alerts covered 12 sports in 53 countries in 2024, with the Czech Republic (19) and Turkey (11) leading the list. Soccer and tennis were the sports with the most reported cases, with 75 and 58 alerts respectively, representing 61 percent of all alerts in 2024.
A geographical shift was observed, with suspicious betting alerts on sports events in Europe dropping from 113 in 2023 to 80 in 2024. Meanwhile, alerts in Asia increased from 17 to 40, and in Africa from 16 to 28. IBIA is closely monitoring these trends to determine whether they are just anomalies or a growing trend that will require measures.
IBIA data played a key role in sports investigations, leading to 33 matches being considered manipulated and 17 sanctions against clubs, players, and officials for betting-related violations.
