Thailand's vigorous crackdown on scam groups near the Myanmar border has been effective, the Malaysian International Humanitarian Organization said today, stating that some victims at the KK Park scam center have been rescued, but more than 30 Malaysians, including Taiwanese, are still controlled at the "Taichang Park" and urged Thailand to continue the eradication.

Malaysians are frequently deceived into going to scam parks in Myanmar, and with Thailand's borders adjoining Myanmar, Laos, and Cambodia, it has become a transit hub. The Malaysian International Humanitarian Organization (MHO) just held a rally in front of the Thai Embassy with dozens of family members of Malaysian victims on the 12th, hoping to rescue Malaysians trapped in scam parks.

During this protest by Malaysian human rights and social movement groups, the Rachamanu Task Force of the Thai Army stationed in Tak Mae Sot received victims controlled by scam groups released by the Democratic Karen Buddhist Army on the border on the 12th.

This afternoon, the Malaysian Ministry of Foreign Affairs pointed out that as many as 261 victims controlled by scam groups from various countries have been handed over to Thai authorities, including 15 Malaysians.

According to information provided by the Malaysian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to the media, these individuals are currently placed at the Vachiraprakan military base, and it is confirmed whether they are victims controlled by scam groups through the National Referral Mechanism (NRM), and then repatriation matters are handled.

Hisham Muddin, Secretary-General of MHO, stated in the evening that the Thai government has put pressure on the border guard forces and the Democratic Karen Buddhist Army to rescue people from various countries still trapped locally.

He pointed out that although some victims from the KK Park scam center in Myawaddy have been rescued, intelligence shows that victims are still imprisoned by scam groups at the "Taichang Park" on the Thai-Myanmar border, calling on the Thai government to continue to exert pressure and release the trapped Malaysians.

Andrew Foo, the Chinese community public relations representative of MHO, said that "Taichang Park" has both new and old parks, which are very violent and brutal. Victims have risked making phone calls for help through channels, with at least 30 Malaysian victims, and some have suffered sexual assault and abuse.

He mentioned that there are also Taiwanese victims in "Taichang Park," but the exact number is unknown.

Malaysian media reported that Thailand has become a transit station, with victims trafficked to Myanmar and Laos through the Thai border area, and currently, there are at least 70 scam parks in southern Myanmar.
