Myanmar has sent 261 foreigners rescued from cyber fraud parks to Tak Province on the Thai border.

Most of these people are from the Philippines, Kenya, Ethiopia, and Bangladesh, with only a few being Chinese nationals.

Upon arrival in Thailand, they must first undergo police interrogation. If they are not found to be fraudsters, they could be sent back to their countries in about 3 to 4 weeks.

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of Thailand, Prawit, also mentioned that Myanmar will continue to send about 7000 people from cyber fraud parks to Thailand. The Thai government will then coordinate with the embassies of the relevant countries to try to send these people back.

Prawit emphasized that Thailand cannot accept all these people and will not build special detention facilities for them. He said: "If their own countries do not take them back, we in Thailand will not handle it. We will definitely do our best, but it's hard to say what kind of plans their countries will come up with."

He also mentioned that the Thai government has already arranged security forces at the border, in case a large number of foreigners rush in, to have a response.

Prawit also revealed that if Myanmar can prove that there are no more fraud centers, Thailand will relax some restrictions on Myanmar. Hopefully, that day will come soon.
