The former CEO and chair of Entain sued the business over information it shared with UK prosecutors as part of its £615m deal to settle bribery charges on Thursday (13 February).
Lee Feldman and Kenny Alexander, respectively former chairman and CEO of then GVC Holdings, filed a suit against the gaming giant and its law firm Addleshaw Goddard (AG) over information potentially disclosed to investigators without their consent.
Entain agreed a Deferred Prosecution Agreement (DPA) with the Crown Prosecution Service in December 2023 to dispose with a HMRC investigation regarding historic failures to prevent bribery in its former Turkish unit.
AG advised the operator on the DPA, which settled the claims against the company but not its former executives, and a number of other occasions.
