On the night of February 25th, the Philippine Interior Minister Remulla confirmed that a Chinese male student who was recently kidnapped in Taguig City's BGC has been successfully rescued! The police launched a pursuit operation in Parañaque City, during which the kidnappers abandoned the victim and fled. Currently, the police have identified the suspects and are actively pursuing them.

Remulla revealed that on the evening of February 25th, the police successfully located the kidnapper's mobile phone signal and launched an encirclement in Parañaque City. However, during the escape, the kidnappers discarded the boy on the roadside. The police then found him wearing pajamas, severely injured, and immediately took him to the hospital for treatment. It is reported that some of the victim's fingers were cut off, showing the kidnappers' extreme methods.

Previously, it was reported that the kidnappers had released a video demanding a ransom of 20 million US dollars from the victim's family. However, Remulla clearly stated that the family did not pay any ransom.

Remulla stated that the police have confirmed the identity of the kidnappers and have located their hideout. He emphasized, "We know who they are and are fully pursuing them, ensuring they will not escape justice."

This operation was jointly executed by the Philippine National Police Anti-Kidnapping Group (AKG), the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), and the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO), aiming to apprehend the suspects as soon as possible.

It is understood that the victim is a middle school student attending the British School Manila (BSM) in BGC. He was kidnapped along with the family driver after school on February 20th and was reported missing the next day. Currently, the specific circumstances of the driver have not been officially confirmed, and there are rumors on social media about his misfortune, but the police have not yet responded to these statements.

The General of the Philippine National Police, Marbil, indicated that the case might involve debt issues related to Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGO). The Anti-Kidnapping Group's investigation found that family members of the victim had been involved in POGO operations and high-risk e-commerce transactions, which might have made them a target for crime due to debt issues.

Marbil pointed out that in recent years, some POGO operators have been in financial trouble, and creditors have used illegal means to pressure them for debt collection. This case may be similar to such criminal patterns.

Currently, the Southern Police District of the Philippine National Police (PNP-SPD) stated that the investigation of the case is still ongoing, and the police will announce further details at an appropriate time. The police are calling on the public to provide clues to help apprehend the suspects as soon as possible.
