The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) of the Philippines held the fifth job fair for unemployed Internet Gaming License (IGL) workers on February 28 in Parañaque City, offering 3,300 job positions to help them reintegrate into the workforce.
The job fair was named "DAPAT Project: Special DOLE Action Plan and Transition Job Fair for Unemployed IGL Workers," and took place at the Manila Bay Ayala Malls Activity Center in Barangay Tambo.
The event attracted 24 companies from various industries, including manufacturing, food services, business process outsourcing (BPO), hospitality and entertainment, information technology (IT), and more.
DOLE stated that the event aimed to provide more career options for unemployed workers formerly associated with Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGO), helping them find suitable job opportunities across various industries in the Greater Manila Area.
Additionally, job seekers could enjoy "one-stop" services for quick processing of employment-related procedures. Officials advised applicants to bring resumes and relevant employment documents, and encouraged pre-registration online through the provided link to expedite the application process.

Meanwhile, the Manila city government is also advancing its public service projects. Mayor Honey Lacuna announced the "Kalinga sa Maynila: City Hall on the Road" project, which will visit Barangay 782 in San Andres Bukid on Friday, offering a range of free services to local residents.
Citizens can enjoy on-site health checks, social welfare assistance, and administrative services such as ID card applications and renewals. Additional conveniences include job consultation, medical exams, and pet vaccinations.
Other free services provided include dental extractions, fluoride treatments, free reading glasses, medication distribution, massages, haircuts, and skill training courses offered by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).
The project has already been successfully held at the intersection of Benita Street and Fernandez Street in the second district of Tondo, attracting a large number of participants.
