Instant payment provider Zimpler has established a new partnership with Swedish payment app Swish.
This new deal will provide Zimpler's merchants with a new payment solution aimed at eliminating barriers to entry for businesses in regulated industries such as gaming.
Swish will for the first time open a new Payment Service Provider (PSP) to address the needs of the gaming industry in collaborating with banks. Moreover, this latest arrangement makes Zimpler the first PSP to integrate directly with Sweden's most commonly used payment method, Getswish.
The rise of account-to-account payments, coupled with the gaming industry's increasing pressure for frictionless payment solutions, means such partnerships are likely to become more common—this fact may signal an economic shift in Sweden.
Zimpler CEO Johan Strand stated: "This will completely change the Swedish payment landscape. Due to complex banking requirements, many businesses in regulated industries face challenges in obtaining payment solutions. By providing a direct path, we offer merchants a faster, more efficient way to access one of Sweden's most trusted payment methods."
It is worth noting: Last month, the Swedish Court of Appeal ruled in favor of Zimpler in a dispute with the Swedish Gambling Authority.
Getswish CEO Urban Höglund also stated: "Swish has always been committed to speed, security, and ease of use. Through this partnership, we enable more companies to accept Swish payments."
