The boards of Lottopar and the Ibero-American Corporation of State Lotteries and Betting (Cibelae) met this week to conduct a series of technical visits in Foz do Iguaçu, a city known worldwide for having one of the seven natural wonders of the world, the Iguaçu Falls, which will host the largest responsible gaming event in Latin America in June.
The technical visit by the directors of the two entities aimed to familiarize themselves with the local accommodation, the event center, and the available transport infrastructure in Foz do Iguaçu.
For the financial director of Lottopar, Rogério Nogueira, the event is an opportunity to promote responsible gaming, but also for the development of the economy and tourism in the region.
“Dozens of lottery institutions and companies from all over the world will be visiting our Paraná. I am sure that in addition to discussions about responsible gaming, many participants will return to Foz do Iguaçu to do tourism and get to know the region better”.
The chief of staff of Lottopar, Stephanny Fernandes, stated: “Cibelae is organizing this important meeting, held for the first time in Foz do Iguaçu. We will be the showcase to the world during these three days of the event, with major discussions on responsible gaming and ESG applied in the context of the lottery market”.
Lottopar and Cibelae are jointly developing the event and will soon present the complete themes of the event and the main speakers.
Since May 2023, Lottopar has been part of Cibelae, where it was admitted after undergoing a rigorous analysis process by the entity during the year 2022. Since then, it has been involved in all policies of disseminating responsible gaming policies, combating illicit activities in the lottery market, and other actions to strengthen its activities as a state autarchy of Paraná.
More recently, it has joined the Cibelae Money Laundering Prevention Certification Committee.
