PrizePicks has become the first company in the industry to receive the Internet Compliance Assessment Program (iCAP) certification from the National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG), marking the company's commitment to responsible gaming and consumer protection.
The iCAP certification is a process that evaluates an operator's responsible gaming policies, employee training, consumer protection measures, and regulatory compliance.
An independent assessment ensures that the certified operator meets the Internet Responsible Gaming (IRG) standards and incorporates best practices from jurisdictions around the world.
Regarding this achievement, PrizePicks CEO Mike Ybarra said: "This certification is a powerful endorsement of the culture we have built at PrizePicks and an incredible honor that highlights our unwavering commitment to prioritizing player safety.
"I would like to express my sincere thanks to the comprehensive assessment by NCPG and also thank our excellent team for establishing a leading position in the industry in responsible gaming."
It is worth noting that to support its responsible gaming efforts, PrizePicks collaborates with organizations such as Kindbridge Behavioral Health, Socure, Epic Global Solutions, Xpoint, and IC360.
NCPG Program Director Jaime D. Costello added: "We are honored to announce that PrizePicks is the first daily fantasy sports operator to receive iCAP certification.
"This achievement demonstrates their firm commitment to protecting players and promoting positive gameplay, setting a new standard of excellence for the industry."
This certification was obtained against the backdrop of recent leadership changes at PrizePicks, including the appointment of former EA Games, YouTube, and Niantic executive Mike Quigley as Chief Marketing Officer in February.
