Karen State, Myanmar, Shuidou Valley — The Border Guard Force (BGF) Economic Development Zone welcomed a field visit by the media. On the same day, the BGF held a press conference to report its latest achievements in combating telecommunications fraud and led the media on a tour of the urban development in Shuidou Valley.
The BGF spokesperson emphasized that the area should not be seen merely as a "city of scams." In fact, Shuidou Valley is undergoing large-scale infrastructure construction and is striving to change its image through these developments, providing more opportunities for residents and tourists.
Freedom Water Park is one of the key projects, being the first and only water park and theme park in Karen State. The BGF stated that the completion of this park not only brings new entertainment options to the locals but also provides employment opportunities for the surrounding residents, becoming an important attraction for tourists.
The BGF plans to further increase investment in Shuidou Valley, creating a new urban development model centered on tourism. By improving infrastructure, enhancing the quality of life, and promoting the development of the tourism industry, the BGF hopes that Shuidou Valley can gradually shed its past label as a "city of telecom fraud" and become a vibrant and attractive international tourist destination.
The advancement of this plan will bring more development opportunities to the area, improve the living standards of the people, and also help enhance the region's image on the international stage.
