The American company joined the International Betting Integrity Association.
United States.- Hard Rock Digital announced that it has joined the International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA), expanding the association's integrity oversight coverage across the United States.
Through the partnership, the integrity data from Hard Rock Digital's online sports betting platform, Hard Rock Bet, will now feed into IBIA's leading global betting integrity network, which includes more than 70 companies and 140 sports betting brands monitoring over USD300 billion annually in betting handle.
Commenting on this development, the president and chief executive officer of Hard Rock Digital, Matt Primeaux, said: "Hard Rock Digital is committed to protecting the integrity of sports and ensuring a responsible gaming environment for our players. IBIA brings together more than 70 of the leading international companies in the sector, operating over 140 sports betting brands. Through the "Monitoring and Alert Network" tool, the institution monitors and reports suspicious activities, playing an important role in maintaining the integrity of the segments.
The most recent integrity report from IBIA, for the year 2024, detailed 219 suspicious betting alerts reported to the relevant authorities during the year. IBIA's alerts contributed to the investigations and successful sanctions of 17 clubs, players, and officials in 2024.
In Brazil, IBIA maintains a collaboration agreement with the Ministry of Finance to strengthen integrity in the local betting market. In a pioneering move to strengthen the integrity of the newly regulated and rapidly expanding sports betting market in that country, IBIA launched a Payment Providers Forum, with the goal of protecting the market from financial fraud related to competition manipulation.
With IBIA members projected to generate more than 70 percent of the gross igaming revenues in Brazil, IBIA will play a key role in protecting the integrity of the sports betting market. Payment providers and other related financial services can also play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity of sports betting. Therefore, the IBIA Payment Providers Forum has been established to foster collaborative activities that contribute to a robust, secure, and responsible gaming market in Brazil.
Regulatory institutions and other entities linked to financial payments and competition manipulation will be invited to join the Forum meetings and participate in the development and implementation of preventive actions against financial fraud.
