Thanks to this agreement with Factorenergia, the multinational will be able to have a stable and efficient electrical supply.
Spain.- The multinational Cirsa, specialized in games and leisure, signed a contract with the energy marketer Factorenergia to guarantee the supply of renewable electricity until 2030. This agreement marks a significant advance in its commitment to sustainability, as most of its electrical consumption will come from photovoltaic solar energy, covering almost all its demand during sunlight hours.
The contract, which began to take effect on January 1, 2025, is the result of a collaboration that started in 2021, which has evolved into a long-term commitment. According to the terms of the agreement, all Cirsa's facilities in Spain, including locations in the Balearic and Canary Islands, will benefit from this supply of green energy.
During nighttime periods and at times when solar energy is not available, Cirsa will purchase electricity in the market, ensuring that it comes exclusively from 100 percent renewable sources. This reinforces the company's commitment not only to environmental sustainability but also to stability and competitiveness in terms of energy costs.
Luis Maza Goicoechea, corporate director of Global Sourcing at Cirsa, emphasized the importance of this agreement: "This contract not only reinforces our commitment to sustainability but also ensures a supply of renewable energy at a competitive and stable cost, betting on a greener and more efficient future for our company and society."
Emili Rousaud, CEO of Factorenergia, also expressed his satisfaction with collaborating with Cirsa in its energy transition: "We are committed to transitioning towards a cleaner energy model and believe that companies play a fundamental role in this process. We are proud to support Cirsa in its strategy for 100 percent green energy."
This agreement, which covers all Cirsa's supply points in Spain, including the Balearic and Canary Islands, is part of the evolution of a relationship that began in 2021 with annual agreements and is now consolidated with a long-term contract. Thanks to this agreement, Cirsa will be able to count on a stable and efficient electrical supply, aligning its sustainability goals with competitive management of energy costs.
