The authorities of the corporation were present at the meeting of the World Lottery Association.
United States.- Representatives of the Ibero-American Corporation of State Lotteries and Betting (Cibelae) were present at the recent meeting of the Executive Committee of the World Lottery Association (WLA), held in New York City.
At this high-level meeting, Ibero-America was represented by Javier Milián, president of Cibelae and of the National Lottery of Charity of El Salvador; and by Esmeralda Britton González, first vice-president of Cibelae and president of the Social Protection Board of Costa Rica, who participates in the WLA Executive Committee as an elected member.
This event marked a milestone as it was the first Executive Committee meeting chaired by Andreas Kötter, recently appointed president of the WLA and current CEO of Westdeutsche Lotterie GmbH & Co. OHG (WestLotto).
“The participation of Cibelae in the WLA Executive Committee reaffirms its commitment to the development and strengthening of the lottery and betting industry in Ibero-America and the rest of the world, promoting the exchange of good practices, transparency, and social responsibility in the sector,” the corporation stated.
Recently, Cibelae announced to its members the launch of Campus Cibelae 2025, an innovative online training platform designed to strengthen professional training in the lottery and betting sector.
This new educational space is available starting the first week of March 2025 and has the academic support of the University of Concepción of Chile, linked to the Lottery of Concepción.
