BetMakers Technology Group has expanded its partnership with UK Tote Group, ensuring that its Quantum software remains the core platform for pool betting operations at racetracks in the UK and Ireland.
The agreement is based on existing terms and secures BetMakers' role in managing the infrastructure for pool betting, including inbound commingling for world pool events.
The UK Tote, responsible for managing betting pools at 85 racetracks, will continue to use BetMakers' system to facilitate betting both on-site and through digital platforms.
This extension aims to support ongoing efforts to expand betting channels and enhance operational capabilities.
UK Tote Group's Chief Product and Technology Officer Phill Jones stated, "The Quantum solution provided by BetMakers plays a crucial role in hosting and offering pool betting at our 85 racetracks in the UK and Ireland, as well as through our mobile app and website."
In February 2025, BetMakers announced partnerships with Sportradar and Podium to integrate the Advantage racing betting solution into Sportradar's Orako sports betting. The focus of this deal is to expand the distribution of racing content and enhance engagement in key betting markets.
BetMakers also maintains a long-term collaboration with SportsBet, supporting its global expansion strategy. The company focuses on using its technology to enhance liquidity at racetracks and optimize operators' betting processes.
Good news: The British Horseracing Authority (BHA) has expressed concern over the increase in illegal betting on horse racing in the UK. Meanwhile, Wales has recently passed legislation banning greyhound racing, marking a shift in the country's attitude towards animal welfare in sports betting.
