According to Thai media reports, Chinese individuals have contacted to stay in an apartment starting with the letter M in the Montong Thani area of Nonthaburi Province, Thailand, requiring a large number of rooms, which has drawn the attention of Thai inspection departments.

If it were just normal renting, it wouldn't be strange, but reports say these Chinese investors wanted to rent up to 1,000 rooms, raising questions about the legal use of the properties and their purposes.

It is reported that a group of Chinese renting the apartments contacted a vendor to deliver lunch, with each delivery being quite substantial; moreover, previously an intermediary contacted the whistleblower to help mediate, claiming they wanted to rent 1,000 rooms at a price of 20,000 Thai Baht per room per month. The intermediary confirmed they were willing to pay, and when asked what the rental was for, they claimed it was for a telecommunications business.

After investigators arrived at the scene and spoke with local residents, the residents said they often saw these Chinese groups coming and going in the area, but were unclear about what exactly they were doing. Some residents even said these people seemed sneaky; apart from coming down to pick up lunch and going to nearby convenience stores, they hardly went anywhere else.

The Thai investigation department currently reveals that they have not yet contacted the apartment's resident manager, but the department confirms they will not ignore this matter and have ordered security personnel to closely monitor the actions of this group of Chinese and report the matter to the local police and immigration police, to alert them to also be aware of any suspicious criminal activities.

Upon investigation, it was found that the apartment has 1,099 rooms, and after a thorough check, it turns out that only 4 foreigners were living there legally. Actions are currently being taken to evict those suspected of illegal activities.
