After announcing the FY24 results, Playtech CEO Mor Weizer revealed that Brazil has become the largest market in the live casino vertical globally for the supplier.
Brazil began regulating online gaming earlier this year, making it one of the most watched regions in the global gaming field.
Playtech provides online casino services, sports betting, and offers live casino services worldwide, particularly in collaboration with MGM Resorts in the USA.
However, according to Weizer, Brazil is now the largest market in this lucrative vertical.
We asked Weizer if Playtech will continue to see major growth in Latin America by 2025. He told Gambling Insider: "Mexico should see significant growth, Colombia will continue to show positive momentum, and we believe the business there has a medium to long-term outlook.
"Besides the USA, Brazil also has tremendous development opportunities and has already become the biggest contributor to our global live casino business. We look forward to our partners continuing to grow and thrive in Brazil, a country as exciting for the industry as the USA."
At the start of our discussion, Gambling Insider asked Playtech if it had returned to a global top-tier level. To this, Weizer simply replied: "Of course, we are back. And we are passionate!"
