Yggdrasil announced that Black Cat Games has joined its YGG Masters program, a move that will enable the young British developer to create new slot content through Yggdrasil's established framework.
Founded in October 2023 by Doug Charnley and Adam Quickfall, Black Cat Games focuses on creating slot games with strong visual imagery and an emphasis on emotional storytelling. Their first game, Captain's Curse, was developed in collaboration with Million Games.
Through the partnership with YGG Masters, Black Cat Games will utilize Yggdrasil's Phoenix platform to develop and distribute its future games. The platform provides technical support and access to a global network of operator partners.
Zoe Bird, the head of YGG Masters at Yggdrasil, stated that the studio's approach to game design aligns well with the program's direction. Co-founder Doug Charnley added that this collaboration represents another step towards broadening their audience for creative offerings.
The YGG Masters program supports small independent game developers by providing them with tools to launch games in regulated markets. Yggdrasil continues to expand the program, seeking studios that offer unique styles and creative approaches.
Black Cat Games has now joined the ranks of partners, contributing to Yggdrasil's growing content library, with more releases expected later this year.
