The Dutch Gaming Authority (KSA) has imposed a fine of 1.2 million euros on Techno Offshore Limited for operating an online casino without the necessary licenses.

After extensive investigations, it was found that Techno Offshore allowed Dutch players to access nolimitbet.com and simplecasino.com without obtaining a license for the Dutch market.

These websites also did not conduct clear age checks during the registration process, and the games featured autoplay and turbo play options, both of which "encourage excessive gambling behavior."

The first ruling against Techno Offshore was made on July 23, 2024, stating that if these venues continue to violate regulations, the operator could be liable to pay 280,000 euros per week, up to a maximum of 840,000 euros.

Since the site was still accessible in 2025, the Dutch Gaming Authority imposed a basic fine of 600,000 euros on it, as well as a fine equivalent to 10% of the operator's turnover, amounting to an administrative fine of 1.03 million euros.

It is important to note: The basic fine includes multiple fines of 75,000 euros each for charging idle fees, accepting cryptocurrencies, offering autoplay options, and lacking an age verification system.

Michel Groothuizen, Chairman of the Dutch Gaming Authority, stated: "Licensed providers in the Netherlands must adhere to various rules to protect players from gambling addiction.

"For illegal providers, we often see that they do not consider preventing dangerous gambling behavior in any way, such as not using age verification, enabling cryptocurrency payments, or lacking gaming restrictions.

"We take strict measures against such groups because they lure players with illegal offers, yet the players do not receive adequate protection."

Since the beginning of this year, the Dutch Gaming Authority has also removed about 20 apps from app stores, many of which used existing logos to redirect customers to unlicensed sites.
