The Minister of Information of Cambodia, Neapada, met with Chen Guanhua, the Chief Communications Officer of Prince Group, in Phnom Penh. The two sides held in-depth discussions on combating fake news, strengthening media responsibility, and enhancing the national international image. Prince Group committed to actively participating in the "Say No To Fake News" campaign initiated by the Ministry of Information, jointly creating a truthful and transparent media environment.
Minister Neapada stated that the Ministry of Information launched a nationwide anti-fake news project this month, which will last for one year. The goal is to eliminate information pollution, enhance the media literacy of the public, and ensure that society receives accurate and credible content. The plan covers national media, provincial and municipal news offices, and cooperating institutions, aiming to establish a healthier information dissemination ecosystem.
In response, Chen Guanhua, on behalf of Prince Group, expressed firm support. He pointed out, "Prince Group has been deeply rooted in Cambodia for a long time and fully understands the importance of truthful information for national development. We will fully mobilize our own communication platform resources, not only to help curb the spread of fake news but also to continuously tell the good story of Cambodia, showcasing its diverse and authentic aspects."
Minister Neapada highly praised the active response of Prince Group and emphasized, "In the battle against fake information, the participation of private enterprises is indispensable. Especially in the international public opinion arena, the positive voice of enterprises plays an active role in building the national image."
This meeting marks a deep collaboration between the Cambodian government and enterprises in the field of public communication, also highlighting the strategic upgrade of the country in promoting information transparency and strengthening international communication. In the future, the government and enterprises will work together to build a clearer and more credible global image for Cambodia.
