The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) has signed an agreement to extend its exclusive partnership with Sportradar in integrity and regulatory services.
This will help maintain the safety of the sport and detect any match-fixing incidents throughout the season.
Sportradar will use its Universal Fraud Detection System (UFDS) to monitor over 8,200 matches in men's and women's leagues.
In its 2024 report, Sportradar found that the number of suspicious football matches decreased by 48%, and the number of matches suspected of manipulation globally decreased by 17%.
CBF President Ednaldo Rodrigues stated, "Strengthening the integrity of Brazilian football is a top priority for this administration, and the renewal of this partnership further strengthens our commitment to this mission."
The collaboration between the CBF Integrity Department and Sportradar will complement FIFA's monitoring efforts and will cover over 10,000 Brazilian football matches this season. This is an impressive and symbolic milestone that makes us very proud.
"This partnership has been very effective in combating match-fixing, playing a crucial role in ensuring a fairer and safer environment for the sport."
It is worth noting that the initial agreement between the two companies was signed in 2018 and cooperates with existing agreements reached with major football organizations such as CONMEBOL, FIFA, UEFA, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), and the Colombian Football Federation (FCF).
Andreas Krannich, Executive Vice President of Integrity and Regulatory Services at Sportradar, said, "We have established a close partnership with the CBF to strengthen the integrity of Brazilian football.
"Through this new agreement, Sportradar will provide the most comprehensive coverage of Brazilian football to date.
"We are very pleased to continue our cooperation with one of the most renowned football organizations in the world."
