Blast has signed an agreement with Underdog, appointing the operator as the official partner for three major esports events this year: Blast Premier Lisbon Open, Blast Premier Rivals, and Blast.tv Austin Major.
The Underdog brand will appear in English broadcasts as well as on physical and digital assets around the stadium.
Blast.tv mini-games, specifically designed for audiences in the USA and Canada, will also incorporate Underdog.
Finally, Underdog will set up a physical booth at the Blast.tv Austin Major, offering fans exclusive opportunities.
Good news: The Blast.tv Austin Major will be the first Counter-Strike 2 tournament in North America and the first since 2018. Teams such as Vitality, Mouz, Navi, Liquid, and FaZe will participate in this event.
Blast Chief Commercial Officer Leo Matlock said: "We are very excited about this collaboration with Underdog, who have been key players in the evolving field of sports gaming for many years.
"Underdog chose to collaborate with Blast ahead of the sold-out Blast.tv Austin Major in June.
"In addition to increasing our live broadcasts and events, we are thrilled that our loyal Blast.tv fantasy fans will have the opportunity to interact with Underdog over the coming months."
The upcoming Blast Rivals tournament has a prize pool of $350,000 and will crown its champion on May 4.
Underdog's Director of Partnerships, Zach Powell, said: "We have always been looking for innovative partners like Blast Premier. We are excited to be involved in the upcoming events and to attract new audiences through our first offline esports tournament."
Recently, Underdog received additional investment in its Series C funding round, valuing the company at $1.23 billion, nearly three times its valuation in the 2022 Series B funding round.
