It is reported that Aristocrat is in advanced negotiations to acquire Interblock, with the deal valued at approximately $1 billion, though some analysts anticipate the final price could reach $1.3 billion.
It is said that Macquarie Capital will provide advisory services for this transaction.
This potential acquisition aligns with Aristocrat's broader M&A strategy. Although the company has not issued an official statement, journalists have not received responses from its offices in Australia and the US, possibly due to strict confidentiality agreements.
Aristocrat is expected to make an official announcement during its next Investor Day, anticipated in May.
Aristocrat designs and supplies gaming machines and digital content for over 90 countries/regions, but has little involvement in the Electronic Table Games (ETG) sector. The acquisition of Interblock, a renowned ETG specialist, would enhance Aristocrat's position in this market, intensifying competition with suppliers like Light & Wonder, Aruze, and Spintec.
This proposed acquisition follows Aristocrat's strategic restructuring in May 2024, which included the divestiture of Plarium and the reorganization of Big Fish. Additionally, Aristocrat recently partnered with Incentive Games to expand its Aristocrat Interactive platform's offerings of free-to-play and real-money games.
