The instant messaging platform Telegram recently announced an update to its user management policy, officially implementing an account suspension appeal mechanism. From now on, users who are frozen due to violations can initiate appeals within the app to seek unblocking.
According to the official explanation, this update mainly targets users whose accounts have been frozen due to system-determined violations. These accounts will not be immediately cancelled, but will be unable to communicate with others. Users can submit appeal requests in the client, and Telegram will have a dedicated moderator team review the cases individually. Once an appeal is accepted, the related account will regain usage rights and restrictions will be lifted.
In addition to the unblocking appeal feature, this update also brings several functional upgrades, including:
End-to-end encrypted group voice calls, supporting up to 200 participants simultaneously, enhancing privacy and security;
Automated management tools for business accounts, supporting Premium users to introduce AI customer service systems, optimizing customer service experience;
Personalized settings for the gift feature, allowing users to filter display types based on preferences, supporting blockchain transactions and other extended forms.
Telegram states that this upgrade aims to enhance platform transparency and user controllability, while also improving the efficiency of use for large organizations and high-frequency users. The official also encourages users to update to the latest version to enjoy the full functionality experience.
