The UK Gambling Commission has released its fourth quarter report up to March 31, 2025.
The total gross gambling yield (GGY) for online gambling was £1.45 billion ($1.94 billion), a 7% increase year-over-year.
Total bets and spins increased by 5%, reaching 25.2 billion, while active accounts also rose by 2%, reaching 13.5 million.
Despite a 1% decrease in the number of real event bets, the amount wagered grew by 5%, reaching £596 million.
Slot machine GGY grew by 11% to £689 million, thanks to a 6% increase in spins to 23.4 billion and a 6% increase in average monthly active accounts to 4.5 million, setting a new record.
This data comes from about 80% of online operators and 85% of retail operators.
The number of online slot sessions lasting over an hour grew by 5%, reaching 10.1 million, but the average session duration remained at 17 minutes.
Land-based GGY decreased by 3% to £554 million, with total bets and spins falling by 5% to 3.1 billion.
