Las Vegas renowned online casino brand High Roller Technologies recently announced that it has officially submitted an iGaming operator license application to the regulatory authorities in Ontario, Canada, aiming to launch its flagship website HighRoller.com in the second half of 2025, entering this globally leading regulated online gambling market.
High Roller currently operates two online casino brands, High Roller and Fruta, featuring over 5,000 games from more than 90 global suppliers. The company successfully listed on the New York Stock Exchange in 2024 and has won multiple industry honors at the WN iGaming Summit and the SiGMA Europe Awards.
"Applying to enter the Ontario market is a key step in our expansion plan," said Ben Clemes, CEO of High Roller, "Once approved, we plan to fully roll out our products to players in the province within the year." He emphasized that High Roller will bring a "unique and sophisticated brand experience" to the Ontario market.
Since the launch of its iGaming regulatory system in 2022, Ontario has become one of the largest online gambling markets in the world. In the fiscal year 2024-2025, the province's total gaming revenue reached 3.2 billion Canadian dollars, with 2.4 billion coming from online casino operations, a year-on-year increase of 36%. Currently, the province has 49 licensed operators and 83 active gambling websites, 73 of which include casino services.
High Roller presented its global expansion strategy to investors at the beginning of 2025, viewing Ontario as a key market for penetration. The company also plans to apply for an operating license in Alberta after the market opens there (expected in early 2026), further expanding its footprint in Canada.
As competition intensifies, High Roller's entry will undoubtedly spice up the Ontario market. However, with a strong lineup of games, a marketing team, and brand positioning, the company is expected to win favor with users in the short term. Clemes confidently stated, "The Ontario market has always lacked high-end brands like ours; it's time to roll out the red carpet for players."
