Entain has disclosed that its sports betting brand's Bet Builder feature has rapidly gained popularity globally, with the betting amount in 2024 doubling year-over-year, and the trend is expected to continue into 2025.
This personalized betting tool, developed internally by Entain, was fully launched in September 2024 and has now become the fastest-growing football betting product on the group's digital platform. In the first half of this year, Bet Builder's share in total football betting has doubled.
Driven by major events such as the 2024 European Championship and Copa America, the usage of Bet Builder has significantly increased. Entain states that the upcoming UEFA Champions League final (Inter Milan vs Paris Saint-Germain) on Saturday is expected to be one of the club events with the highest frequency of Bet Builder usage in history.
Tom Ritzema, Entain Group's Trading Director, said: "Bet Builder has become one of the most transformative products in modern sports betting. It offers fans a personalized and strategic betting experience, transforming their understanding of the game into flexible combinations."
According to data, Bet Builder is particularly popular in Spain and Brazil. In Spain, football betting accounts for about 20% of the total volume of this feature, while in Brazil, Bet Builder typically represents 40% of all domestic and international event betting volumes.
Popular markets include accurate shots, match outcomes, both teams scoring, total goals, and corner counts, particularly attracting recreational users who prefer low stakes and high potential returns.
Entain plans to further upgrade the product, introducing the "In-Game Bet Builder" feature across all brands, offering users more possibilities for real-time combination betting.
