Redditch United officially announces Gordon Moody as the official charity partner for the 2025/26 season, marking a further consolidation of Gordon Moody's role in addressing gambling-related harms in the sports sector.
As part of the partnership, Gordon Moody's brand logo will appear on the back of Redditch United players' jerseys and will be prominently displayed at the team's home ground, The Valley Stadium. This partnership also continues the charity's recent strategic moves into the sports sector, following the appointment of Dean Sturridge and John Hartson as ambassadors, further expanding its social impact.
Gordon Moody's CEO, Monica Shafik, stated: "This partnership is not only about brand exposure but also a joint action against the harms of gambling. Our flagship residential treatment center has been operating in the city center, serving Redditch and the wider community. Football unites people, and through our cooperation with the club, we aim to promote public awareness, break the stigma, and convey a clear message: you are not alone."
It is noteworthy that last year, Gordon Moody established a treatment center in Redditch, specifically for those severely affected by gambling, offering personalized intervention programs, and last month appointed former Premier League player Clarke Carlisle as the business development manager.
David Faulkner, chairman of Redditch United, also affirmed: "We welcome Gordon Moody to our family. Their expertise in gambling harm intervention aligns highly with our commitment to serving the community. Together, we can bring positive change to those affected."
