To further expand its hosting capabilities in the European Union, Swedish hosting service provider Internet Vikings has announced the establishment of a new data center in Belgium, specifically designed to support the data localization, performance optimization, and compliance requirements of iGaming and sports betting operators.
This company, with over 17 years of operational experience in Europe, stated that the new facility in Belgium will strengthen its service network, enhance system resilience and local access efficiency for its clients in the region, and better meet EU regulatory standards.
Rickard Vikström, founder and CEO of Internet Vikings, said: "We are continuously improving our infrastructure in Europe. The new node in Belgium is a key component in achieving higher service standards and closer customer collaboration."
The new facility supports the deployment of fully managed cloud solutions and can achieve interconnected redundancy system configurations with Internet Vikings' data centers in Sweden and Amsterdam, creating a highly available digital operational environment for clients.

In early 2025, Internet Vikings had partnered with New Jersey-based game developer RubyPlay to deploy bare-metal server hosting in Atlantic City; additionally, the company has also established collaborations with EveryMatrix (West Virginia) and Spinomenal (New Jersey).
Although CEO Vikström has revealed that most of the company's revenue comes from the US market, the company continues to heavily invest in infrastructure in Europe, with Belgium now becoming an important part of its regional data center landscape.
