The community team Everlasting Luv, originally scheduled to participate in the MPL Singapore Season 9 playoffs, was suspended from the competition and had their advancement slot cancelled due to suspected match-fixing activities before the game.

Everlasting Luv was one of the six community teams that advanced through the Challenger Qualifiers, a mechanism designed to provide amateur teams with the opportunity to ascend to top-tier leagues. However, on June 4, the MPL Singapore officials reported that during the regular match against Sovereign SG in the third week, Everlasting Luv exhibited "abnormal operations," prompting an internal investigation by the league.

The investigation focused on players Akashi, Kyushu, and WILLYYY. Although the three players were questioned by league representatives and provided explanations, the league found their statements to be severely inconsistent with in-game actions, team communication records, and account data.

Ultimately, the league determined that these three players violated Article 15.1.2 of the MPL Singapore Rulebook by not maintaining a competitive state during the match and misleading the league investigators during the investigation. Each player was banned from participating in any MPL Singapore related events until June 2026, with a two-season suspension.

As a result of this incident, Everlasting Luv's qualification for this season's playoffs was immediately revoked. The league statement emphasized: "As the only professional esports league in the country, MPL Singapore is committed to the highest standards of competition integrity. We will not tolerate any actions that compromise the principles of fairness, such as manipulating matches."

Subsequent Arrangements and Impact Due to the disqualification of Everlasting Luv, Kingdom Esports was promoted to advance and will compete against Flash SG in the winner's bracket. The remaining teams will continue to compete for a total prize pool of SGD 40,000 (approximately GBP 22,926) and strive to qualify for the Mid-Season Cup at the Esports World Championship.
