Recently, Thai police successfully arrested a Chinese man in a raid at a shopping mall. The man attracted police attention due to suspicious transaction activities, and further investigation revealed a transnational telecommunications fraud syndicate involving up to 15 million Thai Baht, shocking the community.

According to the police, the man's suspicious behavior in the mall raised the suspicions of the officers on duty. After questioning and interrogation, the police unexpectedly discovered his close connection with a well-organized scam group.

The gang used fake high-return investments as a front, luring the public to invest through forged promotional photos and promises of high returns. Once the victims were involved, they used excuses such as "account violations" to prevent withdrawals, then demanded additional payments like "unlocking fees" to continue plundering money.

Currently, the police have confirmed at least 7 fraud cases related to the group's fake investment website, involving more than 2.4 million Thai Baht. Additionally, 67 accounts used for money laundering have been identified, forming a complex underground financial transfer network. The total losses of the victims have exceeded 15 million Thai Baht, with many people losing their life savings.

The Chinese man is currently detained, and the police are actively pursuing his accomplices and the underlying asset chains. The Thai police have stated that they will continue to combat transnational fraud and financial crimes, striving to recover losses for the victims and ensure the safety of the social economic order and public property.
