DigiPlus Interactive announced that it will launch its iGaming business in Brazil in September 2025, officially entering the emerging regulated market in Latin America. This move is another key development on the internationalization path following the company's senior management restructuring and comprehensive cloud infrastructure upgrade.
As a country with a population of over 200 million and an internet coverage rate of nearly 90%, Brazil is seen by DigiPlus as a strategic focus for future growth. According to estimates by LCA Economic Consulting, the country's iGaming market potential is up to $4.6 billion. DigiPlus plans to introduce live games, slot machines, table games, and proprietary digital content in the local market, deploying technology through its upgraded AWS cloud architecture.
Chairman Eusebio Tanco stated, "We will leverage our advantages accumulated in the Philippine market to bring a high-quality digital entertainment platform to Brazilian players. This expansion is an important step in our global growth strategy."
To promote localization, the company appointed Graham Tidey as the National Manager for Brazil in March and established a local team to align with market culture and compliance requirements, strengthening responsible gambling measures.
This expansion closely follows the iGaming regulations implemented by the Brazilian government in 2024. The new law clarifies operating licenses, consumer protection, and tax arrangements, providing a legal operating environment for international companies.
In June this year, DigiPlus underwent a senior management reshuffle, appointing Tommy Hu as CEO and Rick Li as Chief Digital Officer, focusing on digital innovation and international market expansion. Hu previously led the company's transformation in the Philippines, and Li's addition injects a technology-driven force into its global strategy.
